Auto Repair: Knowing Precisely How Much Is Too Much
From the factory the vehicles manufacturer has taken into account the types of roads, driving and suspension within the vehicle. Each vehicle has different specs and even normal driving can cause serious and expensive problems. The problems can be as simple as your steering wheel not being centered, to more serious tire wear issues. These can be seen where the insides, or outsides of a tire are prematurely wearing, or where tires are wearing unevenly. A driver might also experience a "pulling" motion to one side or the other. These can be costly as a new set of tires for the average car now is about 400 dollars! Most alignments are under seventy dollars and can be completed by a reputable shop in under and hour. Check your local newspaper, yellow pages or mailers for specials.
cadillac 83 coupe deville Condenser: this is present in the air conditioning system of the car and acts like a radiator. It is also applicable to a device that controls voltage surges.
As the rigors of our Day Three boulder trail intensified - eventually devolving into a kind of bridge-building Camel Trophy fest - the F-150, the Wrangler, and the Defender were the only vehicles so casually competent that they were entrusted to the amateurs among us. In a backhanded way, it is difficult to compliment an off-roader more highly.
When you replace the whole unit like in a Quick Strut, you get a new strut, spring and hat assembly with a new bearing. This brings the handling of your car back to like new condition and restores the ride to how it once was.
Carburetor and Fuel System - Has your gas mileage gone down? If so, it could be the carburetor or fuel system causing problems. These should be regularly maintained.
You'll need a good floor jack and at least a pair of jackstands. Do not skimp on the jack. Get a 2 1/2 ton shop jack. It'll make everything much easier than a smaller cheapie. Another overlooked tool is a shop light. Get the $25 one. Of course you'll need hand tools. The good news is that tools are relatively cheap to buy these days, and good quality pro tools can be had on Craigslist.org very reasonably. $500 will go a long way. Besides, it's fun to go tool shoppin'!
car suspension Try nudging or pulling the wheels from beside the car. If the wheels can be nudged, or if they move in or out, there could be serious damage to the CV joints or the bearings.
As I said above, after about 50,000 miles they are due to be replaced. The best way to replace them is with Monroe Quick Struts. It's a complete spring and strut assembly just like what is on the car. Until a few years ago you could only replace the strut. If your springs were shot you had to order them from the dealer at substantial extra cost.
suspension repair shop I know I said that four-strokes have dominated the pro motocross and supercross scene the past several years, but that doesn't mean people don't buy two-strokes anymore. In fact, riders are realizing how expensive four-stroke motocross bikes can be if there is a major failure, so they're moving back (or to) two-strokes. Don't fool yourself, the 125 two-stroke is a very fast bike, even stock, when properly tuned. When James Stewart entered the pro-scene on a 125, his lap-times were often as fast or faster than a lot of the 250cc riders because he knew how to ride his KX125 so well. He continued to beat four-strokes in 2004 when 250F's started becoming "the bike" to race, so you know the bikes wasn't lacking, that much.
The common answer is to additize the fuel so the gas mileage improves and the engine/fuel system parts are protected. There are lots of ethanol additives on the market, some better than others. You want to choose a fuel treatment that does not contain alcohol and you want to make sure the claims of the treatment are reasonable. A bottle that guarantees it will raise your mileage by 40% is probably overstating its claims by just a little.
